Reimagining Studying:
AI-Powered Personalization in Undergraduate Health Science Education

My identity as a researcher has evolved through the intersection of education, technology, and my passion for improving systems that serve people. What began as an interest in how students learn has grown into a focus on designing AI-powered tools, like chatbots, that encourage divergent thinking and deeper engagement with knowledge.

As I continue this journey, I aspire to bring the same spirit of innovation into the field of health administration. By integrating AI into education and professional training, I envision creating systems that not only improve learning outcomes but also prepare future health leaders to think critically, adapt to challenges, and lead with creativity. This fusion of education and health administration reflects both my growth as a researcher and my commitment to building smarter, more human-centered institutions.

I am passionate about creating learning tools that help students think beyond the obvious and approach their studies with curiosity. My current research centers on building chatbots that encourage divergent thinking, guiding students to explore ideas from multiple perspectives rather than focusing on a single “right” answer.

My journey has been shaped by my mentor, Dr. Fredrick Kates, who has shown me the value of creativity in education and by experiences that taught me technology can open doors to deeper understanding when designed with care in just 3 months. Looking ahead, I hope to continue developing tools that not only support academic success but also nurture critical, flexible, and imaginative thinkers prepared for challenges beyond the classroom.
